Get a study permit

The study permit is a document given that permits foreign nationals to study at designated learning institutions (DLI) in Canada. Generally, all foreign nationals require a study permit to study in Canada. We can help you to make certain you have all the papers you require prior to applying. You must apply prior to your journey to Canada.

Your study permit is not a visa. It does not allow you to enter Canada. You also may need a visitor visa or an electronic travel authorization (eTA).  If your study permit is approved, a visa will be given to you along with your study permit.
